Maurizio Falcioni was born in Viterbo (Italy) on September 10th 1964.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at "Università degli Studi di Perugia" (Italy) on 1989 ed he got the post-graduation in Otorhinolaryngoiatry and Cervix-Facial Surgery at "Università degli Studi di Parma" (Italy) on 1994.
He has always been dedicated to Otological Surgery and SkullBase Surgery for the following diseases:
Otosclerosis, Simple Chronic Otitis and Cholesteatomas, Facial Nerve Disease, Vestibular Schwanoma, Tympano-Jugular Paragangliomas, Petrous Bone Cholesteatomas.
He has also been involved in Hearing Rehabilitation by insertion of Cochlear Implants and others Auditory Implants.
He has developed an important interest for Scientific Research and Teaching, producing 74 Scientific Publications on international and national magazines, 3 books as co-author and other 9 books plus 7 chapters of specialistic interest.
He has taken part at 124 national and international meetings as supervisor/spokesman and has been instructor in 16 courses by international and national meetings.
He has also participated to 16 discussion panels, 3 on-line surgery and one show dissection by international and national meetings.
He has been instructor for 177 anatomic dissection courses and he is actually auditor for the following international magazines:
“Otology & Neurotology”, “European Archives of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology”, “Laryngoscope”, “Acta Oto-laryngologica" and “Acta Otorhinolaryngol Ital”.
